Who Is Plop Entertainment?

 

1. I’ve never seen either of you on TV – How do I know I can trust you guys?
a. Nick Piper worked as a prime-time television presenter mostly in New Zealand for seven years, so unless you are from New Zealand there is a good chance you may not yet seen Nick on TV. However you can view Nicks' showreel showcasing some of his work by clicking here.   
Nick is the Core Presenting Tutor at the world renowned NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts) in Sydney, Australia.  He also teaches at Actors Centre Australia and the Eastern Suburbs Community College.

b. Derrick Siu’s background is in medicine, he branched out as a personal development speaker before focusing more on TV presenting and production. Since then he has worked on a number of projects, presenting and producing, as well as working in film, TV dramas, and commercials. 3. How long have you guys been around?

Plop Entertainment started in late 2004. Both Nick Piper and Derrick Siu have been working on bringing these groundbreaking products to market for the last two years. 4. Nick, You made it in New Zealand – and most of your current contributing industry professionals are working in the Australian industry. How do I know the same principles would apply to my market in my country?

A valid point. The principles relative to the television market are applicable right across the entertainment industry globally. The application and execution of these principles will vary in small detail (and these details are more culturally related than anything else eg language, customs etc) , but in general television – much like film and theatre – operates from the same manual no matter where you are in the world.

Most of our Industry professionals are Australian, but many of them (especially the ones who also teach, have taught and studied all over the world – Bill Pepper (Australia, UK and Asia), Dean Carey (Australia, USA and Russia), and Tom McSweeney (USA, Australia). Their information is applicable globally.

We may speak different dialects, live in diversely populated countries, compete in varying market sizes, and even use different kinds of recording format, but the basic principles remain the same. . Television has become a universal language and in order to work on a global scale producing television has become standardised – production demands, formats, casting procedures, performance techniques and methods of operating are similar across all markets.

1. Do you ship internationally?

Yes!


2. How is the Program delivered to me?

The How To Be A TV Star Home Study Program is shipped from North America, we ship US Postal Service for the majority of our shipments for US Domestic locations and international shipments. Please allow up to 21 days for delivery depending on customs and where you live.



3. What is the availability of the Home Study Program?

In most cases once we recieve your order, we will post it within 2- 3days. Should we be out of an item or have any issues, we will contact you and inform you of any possible delays.


4. How long does it take to receive a product order:

Typically it can take anytime from 5 – 21 working days depending on which part of the world you live in. As a general guideline for products shipped from our warehouse in the states – allow 5-7 days if you live in the United States or Canada, or 5-21 days for the UK and the rest of the world.


5. Do you deliver to PO Boxes

Yes we do ship to PO. Boxes.


6. What freight and delivery companies do you use?

We ship via US Postal Service for the majority of our shipments for products from the USA, and Australia post for products that are shipped from Australia 


7. What happens if I'm not home to receive my order?

The frieght company will leave a note in your mailbox, and tell you to call a specific phone number to arrange a more convenient delivery time when you will be at home to recieve the goods.


8. My order has not arrived within the expected timeframe - what happens now?

If for some reason you have not received your order within 21 days, please contact us here at support, and we will respond and help you track your order. Usually if there is any expected delays or problems, we will contact you prior, however sometimes there may be issues outside of our control, that my prevent us from knowing, or getting in contact with you. Feel free to contact us at anytime here if you have any concerns. Our goal is ensure you get your order in a prompt and timely fashion!

The best way to get support is via our Ticket system on our contact us page. Because we get so many emails, it has been very difficult to keep a track of all of them, so we set up this ticketing system, which keeps helps us keep track of which messages that we have replied to, and which ones still need respond to. 2. How fast can I get support?

Providing great customer service is a huge priority to us. Generally during weekdays 10am-5pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time – Sydney Time) we will respond to your queries within 24 hours. If for some reason you do not get a reply within 24 hours please do not hesitate to let us know!


3. What if I don’t’ get a response within your specified time?

Please contact us again. Sometimes, due to technical faults, and issues beyond our control, we may not be able to respond within 24 hours. However be comforted to know that we are customer focused, and will resolve your issues ASAP! Thank-you

Yes! We take your privacy very seriously; we do not share, give or sell your private information to any third party. Period. 2. What if I don't want to order over the Internet - what other methods do you use to accept orders? 

If you like we also accept electronic funds transfers directly into the Plop Entertainment’s Bank Account. Please contact us here and mention you would prefer to pay via electronic funds transfer. Make sure you state what is the best way to get in contact with you to organize and ship your order.

4. What information of mine does Plop Entertainment collect and store?

We keep your personal details – name, contact details, address, and details of products you purchase. This helps us serve you better and save you time by not having to complete these details each time you make a purchase.

 

5. Does my personal information get passed onto anyone else?

Absolutely not. We promise you that we do not give, share, or sell your personal information to ANYBODY. Period. We respect your privacy and honour the trust you have placed with us.




Guarantee / Return Policy


1. How long is your money back guarantee?

Many of our products have a 60 day Money Back Guarantee. Please see the product pages for complete details of the Guarantee that the product has.


2. Are there any conditions to qualify for the money back guarantee?

Products must be returned in saleable condition (we may resell them as refurbished products) and you must cover the return shipping costs.
